Ordinary risks


The aircraft hull insurance policy covers disappearance, theft and all physical loss or damage to the insured aircraft, up to the agreed value stated in the special policy conditions. Similarly, barring any provisions to the contrary, coverage extends to the cost of repairs, the cost of removing or recovering the wreck, and expenses incurred to secure and store damaged aircraft.

Coverage may also extend to reimbursement of damages sustained by certain spare parts, engines and equipment, which belong to the insured or which are stored on the ground under its custody and care.

 

Risks of war and similar risks   

 

Insured parties have the option of taking out coverage for loss and damage caused by the following events: War Social unrest (strikes, riots, civil commotion, strikes, lockout and other similar events.) Acts of the government (capture, arrest, seizure, restraint or detainment, etc.) Acts of terrorism, sabotage and malice Hijacking or any unlawful seizure of control over the aircraft or the crew in flight
