Air cargo insurance

Shippers of cargo may opt for protection against the risk of loss of or damage to the goods carried by air. The cargo insurer that compensates the insured may exercise his subrogation rights and recover from the carrier if the name of the client appears as the shipper on the air waybill, or against the shipping agent if it is mentioned as the party contracting the shipment.
