Specific features of the French market

The French market has long been known worldwide for its sound practice in the insurance of valuables.

Standard policies on goods carried by sea, air or inland waterways do not cover the carriage of valuables (currency, precious metals, bank notes, shares, bonds, luxury products, etc.). Instead, it is covered under special policies, in particular the French Insurance Policy for Valuables in Transit.

This is an All Risks insurance contract, covering loss of or damage to insured valuables from the place of dispatch to the place of delivery.
